Abstract
Abstract In this investigation the problems associated with drilling aramid laminates are outlined and an assessment is made of previous work. A suitable tool was developed from analysis of the cutting action and a number of experiments were carried out to assess the effect of geometry variation on the performance of the proposed tool shape. Comparative tests were conducted with commercially available tools.
