Abstract

It is a special and important subject in the science of school administration to study the leading personnel's behavioral and qualitative characteristics and explore the ways to improve their competence and efficiency. A principal is the chief administrator and decision maker of a school and assumes the main responsibility of guaranteeing the right orientation of the school's work and the achievement of its goals. Hence, the success or failure of his work directly affects the overall situation of the school. As educators say, "Like principal, like school." It is clear how important the principal's position and responsibility can be. At present, he is expected to shoulder an even greater responsibility in implementing the gist of the party's Twelfth National Congress Resolution and carrying out the educational reform. It is, therefore, an extremely important strategic task set for us to reinforce the building of a rational structure in the ranks of school leading cadres and see to it that they become more revolutionary, younger, more knowledgeable, and more professional.
