Abstract

This article revives a tradition of this journal of publishing interviews with dist inguished figures in the field of psychoanalytic group psychotherapy. Earlier interviews, in which prominent individuals discussed their ideas and their work, were read with great interest. It was the view of the editorial board of this journal that a new generation of therapists, actively working in or otherwise interested in group psychotherapy, has emerged since the last of these interviews was published and that a new round would therefore be timely.
