Kay. In 1985, he and his family spent a sabbatical year at Cambridge University. In 1992, he received a Certificate of Meritorious Service from the Northeastern Section of the MAA. He teaches at Providence College in Rhode Island. His current research interests are in number theory, combinatorics, and the history of mathematics. His other interests include reading, gardening, and travel.Shawnee McMurranShawnee McMurran (mcmurran@math.csusb.edu) earned her Ph.D. at the University of California at Riverside in 1991 in the field of partial differential equations under the direction of Victor Shapiro. She now enjoys teaching at California State University, San Bernardino. Her interests include history of mathematics, mathematics education, and the mathematics of finance.
