Abstract

To address the problems of the contradiction between economic development and emission reduction, and the difficulty of traveling for residents in rural areas, this paper investigates an intelligent street lamp technology for road lighting and vehicle charging based on wind-solar hybrid power. Taking Puge County in Sichuan Province as a specific case, a multi-functional street lamp with energy-saving and monitoring functions is designed including system appearance, scheme configuration, and construction design. The use of this design in Puge County can be well expected to save about 4.1 million kWh of electricity per year. Through the calculation of costs and benefits, this case can promote the development of local tourism and economy, and the direct benefits can be very considerable and have great economic value.
