Abstract

With the continuous expansion of China’s high-speed railway (HSR) network, the necessity of studying operating performance from the network perspective becomes prominent. To improve the economic benefits, social benefits and operating performance with constraints of limited transport resources, this paper presents a mixed-integer nonlinear optimization model of HSR line planning problem, integrating operation route plan, train stop plan and passenger distribution plan. Moreover, a two-stage hybrid heuristic search algorithm is designed to solve this model. Finally, numerical experiments are implemented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach.
