Abstract
The interaction between tri-n-butyl phosphate and mono(2-ethylhexyl)- phosphonic acid was investigated. The method of continuous variations utilizing changes in infra red absorption and changes in the freezing point depression of the mixtures was used. Isopiestic measurements also were made. Results gave evidence that an association product had resulted at a ratio of 2 moles of TBP per hexamer unit of H/sub 2/MEHP. (auth)
