Abstract

This paper proposes an improved robust deadbeat predictive current control (DPCC) method without computational delay for surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous machine (SPMSM). With the proposed method, the computational delay is reduced greatly, and the pulse-width-modulation (PWM) command could be updated in the sample control period with the current sample to realize one-step delay deadbeat dynamic response. A proportional-integral (PI) controller is added to the DPCC method to improve the system's robustness, which can achieve zero steady-state current error, even with inaccurate motor parameters. Compared with the conventional DPCC method, this technique has the benefits of simpler realization. The effectiveness of the proposed method has been validated by simulation and experiment.
