Abstract

As we all know, the microphone array system has many advantages in reducing noise and extracting the desired speech. Compared with the traditional single microphone method, the microphone array uses spatial information of source speech and surround environment to increase the efficiency of the algorithm. The dual-microphone system (MA2), which is a fundamental element in microphone array, is used in various major applications. The MVDR algorithm is an effective solution implemented in complex noise conditions with the aim of restoring the original speech. However, in reality, the effectiveness of algorithm is often affected by many objective reasons; and the result in attenuated output speech signals. In this article, the author presented a method to overcome the above restriction. Experimental results on the MA2 have proven the robustness and effectiveness of the algorithm. The above method can be integrated into systems with large number of microphones or surveillance, identification applications.
