Abstract
The existence of islanding effect not only threatens people's safety, but also causes a series of economic losses. At present, there are two common islanding detection methods: passive method and active method. The passive detection method is simple and easy to implement, while it has some disadvantages such as the undetectable area is large and the system reliability is low. The active detection method has less undetectable area and high system reliability, but the existence of disturbances will more or less pollute the power quality. This paper mainly introduces some commonly used detection methods and then briefly analyzes their advantages and disadvantages. At the same time, the traditional active frequency drift method is improved and applied.
