Abstract
The Fundamental Directions of General Education and Vocational School Reform and the other resolutions on the school that contain a comprehensive development of the Leninist idea of the united, labor-based, polytechnical school and map out Party strategies in the area of public education, in line with the principles laid down by the Twenty-sixth Party Congress and the June 1983 and February 1984 Plenums of the CPSU Central Committee, won an immensely enthusiastic response from all Soviet people.
