Abstract
In paper[1] Mandle and Deshpande proposed an explicit kinetic flux vector splitting(EKFVS) scheme for the Euler equations, which is obtained from the Boltzmann equation by the moment method strategy. The KFVS scheme has some advantages, such as the satisfaction of the entropy condition,no sonic glitch problem and so on. However, the explicit KFVS scheme suffers from very slow rate of convergence for the time-dependent method. In this paper we develop an implicit KFVS(IKFVS) scheme, which is efficient for the time-dependent method.
