Abstract

Christine Le Bozec, Year III : Creating, Inventing, Reinventing Executive Power. This is a comparison, in form and substance, of a variety of texts limiting executive power in the three constitutions (1791, 1793, Year III). It entailed taking a look at the draft tabled in April 1793 by Boissy d'Anglas, since he was one of the fathers of the constitution of Year III. What notably transpires is a barely concealed distrust of executive power.
