Abstract

Carrier recovery loops are essential in tracking systems especially in noisy environment and high dynamic receivers. There are different approaches that are implemented for making compromise between noise and dynamic control. Here, a new Digital PLL is propose using a modified numerically controlled oscillator that is controlled with a Fuzzy controller for improving compatibility with environment noise and user dynamic. Adjusting filter coefficients with Fuzzy controller will result in best instantaneous filter operation for rejecting noise and dynamic compensation. The proposed DPLL results by Xilinx System Generator show better performance in response to phase step, input signal jitter, frequency step and ramp.
