Abstract
This paper proposes a fuzzy multiple criteria decision making extension through the division of the summation of weighted normalized cost ratings over the summation of weighted normalized benefit ratings. The membership function of the final fuzzy evaluation value of each alternative can be developed via α -cut and interval arithmetic of fuzzy numbers. Propositions and corollaries will be provided to prove the correctness of the developed membership functions. A ranking method can then be used to determine the ordering of alternatives. A numerical example verifies the feasibility of the proposed model.
