Abstract

This study aims to explore the problems and solutions of STEAM education in technology education. Five problems were presented, and their solutions were explored respectively as follows. First, it needs to emphasize the nature or advantages of technology education such as technological problem solving in STEAM educational programs. Second, it needs to develop various technology-centered educational models such as curriculum models, evaluation models, teaching-learning models, and facility models for STEAM education. Third, it needs to develop technology education contents and educational programs for invention, robots, and computer software which have recently received attention. Fourth, it needs to reinforce making skills to enhance the merits of technology education. Fifth, it needs to develop a variety of technology education theories and education contents for Gifted and Talented education.
