Abstract
The present paper considers the robustness of pole distribution of a polynomial assuming all the coefficents suffer from affine parameter perturbations. When a pole region is specified, robustness of the polynomial is measured by the maximum allowable perturbation which preserves the desired pole allocation. In such a framework, an explicit formula for the robustness margin is derived. Compared with the existing ones, the formula is simple enough in that the robustness margin is expressed directly in terms of the problem data
