Abstract

In a sample of approximately 300 hypernuclear decays found in 1.8 GeV/c K− interactions in nuclear emulsion, one triple centered event was observed. The event has been identified as a double hyperfragment, the most likely interpretation of the event being a [Formula: see text] and/or a [Formula: see text] and decaying successively by the following modes,[Formula: see text]The values of BΛΛ and ΔBΛΛ obtained are 20.6 ± 1.7 and 3.4 ± 1.7 MeV, respectively, for the first interpretation and 19.7 ± 1.8 and 1.7 ± 1.8 MeV for the second interpretation.
