Abstract

An investigation of secondary interactions from 800 MeV/c K- interactions in nuclear emulsion with very short connecting tracks has been undertaken. It is concluded that they are spallation products carrying a bound λ0-hyperon. The characteristics of these heavy hypernuclei are described and estimates are made of their nonmesonic to mesonic decay ratio and binding energy. Comparison with similar work is made.
