Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate that how much time college of education students spend to watch various television programs and to clear whether watching period is different according to their accommodation. The data was col- lected from 1029 freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior students who enrolled six different colleges of education programs. Kruskal Wallis Test was made to clear whether duration of watching various television programs. Mann Whitney U Test used to find out source of differences. It was found that the students from college of education watched television 18.28 hour per week and watching duration were dif- ferent depending on accommodation. The students who stayed with their family watched television the longest duration and students who stayed special dormitory watched television the less duration. In addition, their duration of watching various television programs that sport, music, documentary film, news, magazine, and oth- ers (soap opera, cartoon film, advertisement etc.) were different according to ac- commodation.
