Abstract

The article aimed to indicate the significance of the economic efficiency of medical entities (hospitals) in the period before and after ownership transformation using the taxonomic development measure (TMD). Attention was paid to the specifics of assessing a medical entity whose task is to ensure patient safety by providing high-quality services while maintaining the principle of rational and optimum use of resources. The statistical data came from the financial statements of the studied entities (profitability, liquidity, debt, and efficiency). The taxonomic measure of development gives the possibility to classify the entities according to the level of their development in different periods. The conducted research makes it possible to indicate the impact of ownership transformation on the level of hospital development. Such research can be used in decision support system for decision makers. Information about the impact of the transformations on the hospital situation can be used to solve problems and in decision-making.
