Abstract

Wireless sensor network is a collection of network which consist of a number of sensor nodes that collects various data from the surroundings. Each sensor node is powered by a battery. In most applications it is difficult to re-energize or replace the battery in the network. So energy management is one of the major issues in wireless sensor network. In a cooperative wireless senor network the cluster and the sensor nodes life time can be enhanced by using various clustering algorithms. In this paper an effective method to enhance the cluster and sensor node life time in cooperative wireless sensor network is described. From the simulation results it is clear that this method will enhance the network life time as well as the individual node life time.
