Abstract

Urban and rural harmonious development is an effective way to break through the urban-rural dual structure and solve the three agricultural problems. Starting from a regional dimension, the paper selects some indicator variables to build the evaluation system of urban and rural harmonious development which through the application of principal component analysis model by using the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis to make an empirical study on the level of development in urban and rural areas of Hebei Province. The results show that: the urban and rural harmonious development of Hebei in different regions is not balanced. It can be divided into three different levels. What is more, there is an imbalance of the various regions within the urban and rural development. They all have a rapidly development in economy and life standard. But society and environment development are relatively backward.
