Abstract: With the rapid growth of the national economy, the logistics industry in China develops rapidly in recent years. It is significant to study the operation efficiency of logistics industry as the role of logistics industry is more and more obvious in the national economy. In view of the limitations of traditional CCR and BCC model which only divide the DMU into efficient or inefficient. The supper-efficient DEA which is improved from the CCR mode was applied to evaluating the operation efficiency of China’s logistics industry during the period of 1996-2007.The results show that the overall effectiveness of China's logistics input-output comes to about 70 percent, the overall efficiency reaches a high level, but the overall level is not high. And majority of relatively inefficient results from scale inefficiency and minority is from pure technical inefficiency.
