Abstract

With the introduction of the philosophy and social science concepts with Chinese characteristics in the new era of prosperity and development, the construction of social sciences in all regions of the country has attracted much attention. In order to clarify the current situation of social science construction in Shandong Province and better provide reference and reference for the policy formulation of social science construction, the article constructs a DEA-based Malmquist index model to carry out a space-time dual dimension on the high-quality development level of social science construction in 17 cities in Shandong Province Empirical evaluation, through the calculation and decomposition of the total factor productivity of social science construction, it is found that the current social science construction in Shandong Province is showing a good development trend in time series, but the overall social science construction level still needs to be improved, from both time and space dimensions. It is concluded that the high-quality development level of social science construction is closely related to changes in the rate of technological progress; from the perspective of the two circles and four districts pattern, the efficiency of social science construction in the Qingdao metropolitan area ranks first, so it is necessary to improve the high-quality development level of social science construction. It can start from the aspects of technological progress rate, technological efficiency, and the agglomeration and diffusion of regional social science construction. The article research can provide a basis for relevant departments to understand the level and stage of social science construction in each city, and provide a reference for determining the policy formulation of social science development in each city. It has certain theoretical guidance and practical reference value.
