Abstract
The Electric-Thermal-Solid physical fields coupling calculation is necessary to research the high-power electrical device. Some commercial Finite Element Method (FEM) software, such as ANSYS and COMSOL, can be used for calculating this coupling field matter. These software encapsulate solver libraries based on standard mathematical equations of electric field, thermal field and solid field, and provide coupling interface between them. However, for unusual and more complex physical fields coupling problems, whose mathematical equations are different from the standard equations, hence the commercial FEM software are hardly to get accurate calculation results. This paper proposes a new solution and more convenient method based on Finite Element Language And it’s Compiler (FELAC) for experienced professionals and researchers to deal with this solution. Firstly, the modified mathematical equations should be established. Then the weak form of equations and FELAC script files can be written directly. The FELAC will automatically generates the FEM calculation program and display simulation results. In this paper, a typical Electric-Thermal-Solid coupling analysis model is introduced as an demonstration, of which the weak form is deduced to write finite element files, and the project is established in FELAC for analysis. The simulation results are compared with COMSOL to verify the correctness of calculation.
