Abstract
A method for measuring cholinesterase activity has been presented; it combines the rapidity of automation with the accuracy of manometric procedures. The measured response is linear over a wide range and makes possible the accurate determination of very low levels of enzyme activity. The method has the added advantage of using glutathione for standardization rather than enzyme standards which are expensive and relatively unstable. This method should satisfy the needs of clinical laboratories for an automated procedure for the determination of cholinesterase activity.
