Abstract
Globular proteins have high packing densities as a result of residue side-chains in the core achieving tight, complementary packing. The internal packing is considered as the main determinant of native protein structure. Based on this view, we present here a method to predict sequences that are consistent with a desired three-dimensional structure for de-novo design of proteins using an automata network.
