Abstract
The purpose of this article is to enhance the existing literature about effective teaching practices for the sport of badminton, specifically introducing an adaptation for an “assessment for learning” rubric. Using a standards-based model, the “play practice” conceptual framework of assessment can be implemented for the sport of badminton using the levels of “struggling”, or a quality level of 1, “developing” level 2, “meeting” level 3 (the required level), and “exceeding” (level 4).
