Abstract

We applied atomic force microscopy (AFM) for studying the surface topography of NaKC 4 H 4 O 6 ·4H 2 O (Rochelle Salt). In particular, temperature variation of the surface images was studied. Below the upper Curie point, a regular undulation of the crystal surface, which reflects monoclinic twin boundaries, was observed for the c -plate surface.
