Abstract
This atlas is truly a monument to the author and the publisher as well as to a superb medical artist, Robert Wabnitz, and is undoubtedly the most complete atlas or textbook on surgery of the head and neck that has been compiled. The numerous detailed illustrations of the surgical techniques are presented simply, clearly, yet completely. This second edition not only fulfills the intent of the first edition "to encompass in one set of values the related regional procedures of the head and neck" but has amplified other aspects not stressed initially, such as vascular surgery. It fulfills the need for the specialists from the varying fields of general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, otolaryngology, maxillofacial surgery, and neurosurgery as well as vascular surgery.
