Abstract

In modern psychology, different qualities of the mind are distinguished. To characterize a person’s thinking from an individual psychological aspect, qualities of the mind are used, such as breadth, flexibility, speed, independence, criticality, etc. These qualities are important and mutually related to each other. People differ from each other in the level of development of these qualities, which are of great practical importance. Thinking, especially critical one, has been studied in many directions in the history of psychology. Representatives of the Wyusburg school, associationism, Gestalt psychology and behaviorism took different approaches to the matter of thinking and its criticality.
