Abstract

Abstract Calcium manganese hydrogen phosphate (CaMnHPO4) crystals are quite repeatedly present in urinary calculi. The crystals are grown by the single diffusion growth technique in sodium meta silicate gel. The grown crystals are in the form of platelet, single and poly crystals and large needle type morphologies are also observed. The grown crystals are analyzed by FTIR and TGA/DTA. A well grown selected crystals are analyzed by SEM and etching to identify its growth morphologies. This is in good agreement with earlier reported literature.
