His dissertation was done under M. Herzog. After a year at the University of Calgary, Canada, he joined the University of Idaho and in 1992 became a full professor. He has taught mathematics to young children, supervised six Ph.D. students, been the author or co-author of over 30 papers, and has Erdös number one. His current main interest is Ramsey theory, especially zero-sum problems.
