An Analytical Study on Sexual Violence and Domestic Violence Committed against Males

Abstract

Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence is something that when we hear about it, the first thing which comes in our mind is that the women are always the victims of these offences and they are committed by males only. But is it really true? Are women are the only and always the victims of these offences? This paper deals with these issues. There are some studies which shows that even males are the victims and women are the ones who commits these offences but due to the compact thinking of our society and discrimination of law when it comes to Sexual Violence and Domestic Violence against men, the cases are not reported mostly as it is considered as a shame or issue of the honor of the male victim and his family that is why sometimes males don’t really report the case themselves or sometimes their families force them to not to report or even talk about it.
