Abstract
Abstract An analytical model is developed to predict the surface roughness of Al-5052 plates treated with the surface nanocrystallization and hardening process. The peak-to-valley distances calculated using the analytical model compare reasonably well with the experimental data as well as those predicted using the finite element analysis.
