Abstract
An efficient analytic algorithm is developed to simulate the electromagnetic (EM) field excited by orthogonal magnetic dipoles. It allows simulating the EM field in planar-stratified biaxial anisotropic medium. The propagation of EM field in piecewise homogeneous media is described by a novel generalized reflection and transmission method. The recurrence formula is concerning the coefficients of upgoing and downgoing wave directly, which is easy to understand. Numerical results in comparison with those from numerical method demonstrate the validity and stability of our new formulas.
