Abstract

Nowadays, the geo-economic status of the South China Sea and surrounding countries is becoming more and more important, and it is an important engine for global economic growth, and the region's waterway and resource advantages are integrated with the region's economic development. In order to explore the foreign trade situation of the countries in the region, this paper designs the calculation standard of “regional trade tightness”, and selects the five countries of China, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and ASEAN as the research objects. Through comparative research after measurement, it is found that most of the prosperity of the foreign trade of the countries around the South China Sea comes from the regional trade within the country. Their regional trade is relatively close, and among their foreign trade partners, China is the main foreign trade partner. It constitutes the larger trade volume of the foreign trade of the selected target country.
