Abstract

Law schools in India are the result of big efforts of judiciary, and legal fraternity. With the experiment of first law school at Bangalore and subsequent follow ups of the same models today there are 24 National Law Schools (Universities) and equal number of well-known private law schools imparts legal education in India. The libraries of such law schools are also well equipped and well housed with legal collections both in print and digitally formats. By the way of drafting the syllabus and updating the same every year, faculty members recommend authority collections to the library. This study has made an attempt to analysis the past six years such recommendations and drawn the conclusions that what are good and authority books recommended. Well known, authority collections and globally knowns books are seen here in almost subjects and that is the outcome of the study.
