Abstract
ABSTRACT Interactive Computer Training (ICT) is an increasingly popular way to train employees in job-related skills. ICT typically combines quizzes, self-practice opportunities and video modeling into one training package. Advantages of ICT include consistency in training, fewer resources needed in training, and flexibility for the person learning the target skill. The current study evaluated the effectiveness of an ICT program created in Articulate Rise 360 on the acquisition of the MSWO preference assessment procedure with inexperienced and experienced staff persons. Results indicate that the ICT alone was effective and efficient for only 1 of the 9 participants in the study. Additional training components were necessary for staff to perform the procedure with high fidelity. Implications and directions for future research are discussed.
