Abstract

The changes in UK electricity supply are best understood by determining key variables and analysing their effect on costs, reliability, and the environment. The analyses in this article suggest that only stockholders have benefited, while the increased costs of competition, coupled with inadequate regulation, have harmed users of electricity.
