Abstract

A bound state description of hadrons is attempted using an interacting local spinor field. To obtain an early onset of scaling, this field is required to have sizeable matrix elements at relatively low energies and thus should carry conventional quantum numbers. Although this field is not an interpolating baryon field and does not correspond to particles of discrete mass, a parton picture results: form factors, equal time correlation and scaling functions are related by a hadron wave function.
