Abstract

This in-vitro study was done to evaluate two obturation techniques in deciduous teeth: traditional reamer technique compared to a new technique using Insulin syringe as a paste delivery system. Twenty deciduous teeth were obturated using both the techniques with ZOE paste. Post obturation radiographs were evaluated by 2 evaluators, who were blinded to filling technique, assessed for radiopacity, presence of voids and canal obturation quality. The results showed that the obturation quality of both the techniques was found to be very closely related and Insulin syringe can be used as an effective and economical delivery system for obturating deciduous teeth.
