Abstract
The wireless mesh networks (WMNs) is aiming to provide last mile broadband access to internet. It is important to improve the WMN overlay area by generating a regular mesh or expending a small scale WMN to a larger one. This paper proposes methods to reproduce a constant degree mesh. The graph model is useful in WMNs deployment and scale expansion. Considering nature environment and surrounding buildings, extending the current mesh can choose different style to meet the surrounding requirements. Some useful conclusions on the shortest path number and hop counting are raised to promise simultaneous paths. Furthermore, the feasible expanding method is shown by forming larger WMN via bounder nodes growing into new units in a given mesh.
