Abstract

For the estimation of 4-D parameters (carrier frequency, azimuth, range, and polarization) in near-field narrowband sources, a new method based on fourth-order cumulant was presented, which used a polarization sensitive array and the multiple-rotational invariance to estimate 4-D parameters of sources. Without spectral peak searching or parameter pairing, the method can be applied to additive Gaussian noise environments. Furthermore, this method can reduce the loss of array aperture effectively by using a non-centro-symmetric array. The effectiveness is verified by the computer simulations.
