Abstract

An algorithm is presented for estimation of elevation and range parameters of near-field sources based on four-order cumulant and polarization sensitive array in this paper. The algorithm adopts non-centra-symmetric uniform linear array, and constructs two four cumulant matrixes pencils by the array outputs. Because the matrix pencil's generalized value contains the parameter pairing information, so need not any extra parameter pairing of various parameters. In addition, the algorithm has high array aperture utilization, and has high estimation accuracy, can be applied to additive Gaussian noise environment (white or color). The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by computer simulations.
