Abstract

The structural changes in Al-based metallic glass at heating and deformation have been studied by X-ray diffraction. It has been shown that the amorphous phase of Al–Ni–La and Al–Ni–Y alloys may decompose at heating and deformation with formation of new amorphous phases with different chemical compositions. Both heating and deformation increase the parameters of diffusion mass transfer which facilitates the atomic redistribution processes.
