Abstract
Two concepts that do not receive center stage, yet deserve such position, are amnesia and its fraternal twin the myth of discovery. Amnesia is absolutely essential in the current neoliberal regime, within its spaces of exception and at its core. We could not “discover” new media, new audiences, and new markets without forgetting histories of conquest, technology, and financial debacles. Within critical/cultural studies the deployment of these two concepts is central to an analysis and activism that places global intersectionality front and center.
