Abstract

The chemical components of chromatin threads isolated from carp erythrocytes have been analyzed by means of a paper chromatogram with the following results: 1. 1. The amino acids were not found in the free state (naturally). 2. 2. Amino acids such as glycine, alanine, valine, leucine, phenylalanine, serine, threonine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, lysine, arginine, and taurine (?) were demonstrated in the hydrolyzate in HCl or NaOH. 3. 3. The presence of tryptophane was not demonstrated.
