Abstract

The study involved collecting fungal specimens from Yeşildere village in Uşak province, Türkiye, on June 2, 2023. These specimens underwent detailed examination through both morphological and DNA (nrITS rDNA region and TEF1a gene) sequence-based phylogenetic analysis. Based on the evaluation of micro- and macromorphological characteristics, along with a high sequence similarity (over 99%) with Amanita vidua Gasch, G. Moreno & P.-A. Moreau, the specimen (labeled ANK Akata & Kaya 007) was identified as A. vidua. This identification marks A. vidua as a new record for the Turkish Amanita Sect. Phalloideae. The report describes this newly recorded species, including specific details such as its location, habitat observations, geographical coordinates, collection date, and photographs showcasing its macro and micromorphological features. Additionally, the report includes illustrations of microscopic and some microscopic structures of the species. The study is further enriched with images from a scanning electron microscope (SEM), offering a detailed view of the species' complex characteristics, and these findings are discussed briefly.
